When We Believed in Mermaids – Barbara O’Neal

Loved this one! It was an easy read. Has a good balance of different themes.

Descriptors: Mystery, Romance, Family Life, Trauma

The First Time: Finding Myself and Looking for Love on Reality TV – Colton Underwood

I’m a huge Bachelor fan, but was hesitant to read this book because I’ve never been a huge Colton stan. However, this book was a huge surprise in a good way! He revealed information about his NFL career and his feelings about the contestants on his season. I was shocked by his honesty, and frankly harshness, towards some of the girls he dated on the show. He also was open about “campaigning” to be the Bachelor, which most people try to keep under the radar.

Descriptors: Reality TV, Romance, Failure, Perseverance, Virginity (ugh, so over talked about)

Dear Ava – Isla Madden Mills

I think I finished this book in two days. It is a great read for those who enjoy intense high school romance and drama.

Descriptors: Romance, Heart-wrenching, Emotional, Relationships

Regretting You – Colleen Hoover

I love anything by Colleen Hoover, and this book was no exception. There was a mix of high school and adult romance that will satisfy a wide array of readers!

Descriptors: Romance, Tragedy, Secrets, Relationships, Forbidden Love

Too Late – Colleen Hoover

Another slam dunk by Colleen Hoover. This book got some harsh reviews, but I loved it. Another quick, intense read. Takes place in college.

Descriptors: Romance, Addiction, Emotional, Tragedy, Broken Relationships

Never Never Series – Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher

Okay by now you may have picked up on my favorite author… I just love how Colleen Hoover mixes romance in with mystery and suspense. Her characters are so dynamic and vivid that they almost feel like real people in your life. You will fly through this three book series!

Descriptors: High School Romance, Mystery, Identity, Suspense, Troubled Relationships
