A Major Dress Sitch

With semi and prom right around the corner for most high schools or even colleges, I thought I’d share some of the best sites for ordering dresses online. I love looking for dresses online because you can filter the thousands of dresses to narrow down the search. Don’t be afraid to order a bunch and try on at home, then return! Only if there is free shipping and returns, of course. These are ranked in order of what places I think have the best selection of formal dresses:

  1. Nordstrom.com (Nordstrom stores are OK, but online the selection is much better)
  2. Lulus (Be careful though, this is a VERY popular site to purchase formal dresses)
  3. Fame and Partners (This is an international site, but they have the CUTEST dresses! Make sure to review the return policy)
  4. Revolve (Can be $$$)
  5. Lord and Taylor (I know it sounds like an old person shop, but filter the selection based on what you are looking for!)
  6. Jill Jill Stewart (Both of my prom dresses were made by this designer. She mostly sells online at other stores such as Nordstrom and Lord and Taylor)
  7. ASOS (unique style, definitely not for everyone)
  8. Neiman Marcus
  9. Tobi
  10. Urban outfitters (Filter to find the maxi dresses. Some are totally wearable to a prom!)
  11. Free People
  12. Misguided (Can be a little racy, but hey if you can pull it off, go for it!)

If you find a dress on one of those sites and it’s not in the right size, color, or price range, google the dress on Amazon, Poshmark, eBay, Zappos, etc. They always have them for cheaper and offer a better variety of sizes and colors!
